Patoka was inspired by the Soap Dispensary in Vancouver, Canada. The founder, Chloë, visited in 2017, and desperately wished there was a similar shop in her hometown of London. It’s taken some time to get here, but 2019 sees the launch of Patoka in Wembley, as North West London’s first zero waste shop. Their mission, to provide affordable, sustainable products to the local area, and do away with the myriad layers of plastic that have been a feature of shopping since the supermarket started to reign.
