The founders of Pantry & Co believe that “living a life less plastic is not a romantic idea, it is a responsibility we all share’. This is one of the reasons they opened Pantry & Co for the local community, an independent unpackaged food and delicatessen with plenty of refills. From fresh fruit and vegetables to dried foods, pulses, beans, pasta, rice, spices and oils, Pantry & Co stock a wide variety of packaging free products. They even stock refillables for household, cleaning and personal care.

Hannah set up Greener Habits Co with the aim of changing people’s habits, from convenience to conscious. At Greener Habits Co they believe no product should cause harm to the environment or any living being, and they hope to inspire and guide others towards planet friendly, cruelty and plastic-free alternatives for the things you use on a daily basis. Changing the world, one habit at a time.

Veg Hut sells a wide range of groceries and fresh produce with an emphasis on organic, fair-trade, natural & fresh. There have a good selection of vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free & gluten-free foods, all neatly presented in wicker baskets, wooden crates, shelves & boxes at their rustic store in Walthamstow. As well as stocking plenty of refillable items like grains, pasta, honey, oils and cleaning products, they also offer a delivery service for veg boxes to help you cut down on food waste.

After opening a neighbourhood grocery and bistro in Walthamstow in 2006, Eat 17 founders James Chris and James embarked on a journey that has led them to open three more stores across North London, in Hackney, Bishop’s Stortford and Hammersmith. Championing local suppliers and stocking a range of refill options, Eat 17 stores have grown and expanded from their humble beginnings to include concession stands and even street food markets selling everything from steamed bao buns to vegan junk food.
